Student Transfer 2020-2021 for Out of District Employees
One benefit provided to employees who are eligible for TRS membership is these employees may transfer their children to Lovejoy ISD schools.
Below you will find the Transfer Application that must be completed each school year in order for your child to attend Lovejoy ISD schools. If this is a benefit you would like to accept for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete the Transfer Application before June 1, 2020.
Transfer Applications will be reviewed and approved in the order they are received. LISD will have the sole discretion to determine whether space exists at a requested campus or grade level.
Applicants should give thorough consideration to this transfer request and should fully understand the rules and regulations contained herein. Transfers will be considered subject to the following conditions:
1. Employees in positions which meet eligibility for TRS membership may transfer their children to LISD schools.
2. A transfer form must be completed for each child when an employee who lives outside the boundaries of the Lovejoy Independent School District requests their child(ren) attend an LISD school.
3. When assigning space for transfers, LISD will afford every effort to accommodate children of employees who live outside the boundaries of the LISD. Transfer applications will be reviewed and approved in the order they are received.
4. Parents will have responsibility to provide safe transportation for their children when requesting a transfer.
5. All transfer applications will be for the one school year on the form only, and must be resubmitted for the succeeding school year.
6. The Superintendent grants final approval. LISD will have the sole discretion to determine whether space exists at a requested transfer site.
TRANSFER PROCESS
1. Transfer applications are available in the LISD Administration Building or can be done on-line using this form.
2. Transfer requests will be accepted as long as there is space available in the necessary grade and/or campus.
3. The transfer application must be done in this order:
• initiated by an employee of the Lovejoy Independent School District with all information completed by the parent, otherwise, the transfer will be delayed so that the form can be returned to parent for total completion;
• submitted by the employee to the Administration Building; and
• signed by the Superintendent as approved or denied.
Notification of the transfer approval/denial will be made as soon as possible.
