Housing Testimonies (for Social Media)
In 2018, New Labor (community organization) and the Rutgers Faculty Union, surveyed long term and short term renters in New Brunswick. Housing came up as a top issue. To build on this the Rutgers One Coalition in conjunction with the Bargaining for the Common Good Coalition of New Labor, Cosecha, CNJ DSA and Rutgers Faculty Union are surveying as many residents as we can about their housing conditions and rent.

Housing is an issue that affects all of us, students, community members, faculty, staff, and grad students. When Rutgers sets high prices for room & board and you are paying a lot to have just one side of a double, it encourages other landlords to increase the cost of living as well. Please share as much as you can about your housing experiences in and around the Rutgers campuses with specific details so that together we can all start a conversation about housing justice.

*** WE PLAN TO USE THESE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA PURPOSES, TO SHARE ANONYMOUSLY ON OUR INSTAGRAM @R1COALITION and TWITTER, PLEASE INDICATE BELOW IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH US ANONYMOUSLY SHARING YOUR TESTIMONY TO RAISE AWARENESS/ OPEN CONVERSATION ABOUT THIS.
