                                          2023-2024 Before/Afterschool Fees & Payment Policies

Fees are:  $40 registration fee per (Nonrefundable no exceptions)

After Care Only $70.00 per week 

Early Release Days are included in the weekly price for Students already registered in the Afterschool program

Breaks and Closings: $35.00 per day not to exceed two days; $135.00 per week for 3 or more days. Operating hours are 7:30am-6:00pm(Students must bring their own lunch, snacks will be provided). 10% Sibling Discount applies to oldest child on full attendance to school breaks. Must have 15 kids in care to open for break days.

Drop-In Care during regular Afterschool hours is $20.00 per day, per care service not to exceed 2 days per week, and not to be used in lieu of paying the afterschool cost. Drop in needs to be approved prior to dropping kids in. Parents must contact the school to arrange transportation on the bus. It will not be the responsibility of The Discovery Lounge to ensure a drop in student is picked up from the school.

Half Care might work for you. Half Care is a maximum of 2 days per week The cost must be paid in full for the month at the rate of $188.00. There is No sibling discount on half care and families can choose any two days per week which is equivalent to 8 days per month. Days cannot be transferred to another week/Month or shared between siblings.

Sibling Discount is a 10% savings on the oldest child only for families with 3 or more children for before and after care services. Discount for two siblings apply on full week care during the closing for Fall, Winter and Spring Breaks

All payments are paid online at www.discoveryloungease.com and we will auto debit the card you make your initial weekly  payment with each week after that. The only way to stop, change a payment and payment method is to send in the request 72 hours before the Friday the payment is made. The Discovery Lounge will not refund, pay bank fees and be held responsible for any payment made on a card you wanted to cancel if we do not get the proper notification which is ONLY the Change Card Request form within a timely fashion. 

Payment Options: ALL PAYMENTS ARE ONLINE.  All payments come with a email receipt. Because you are responsible for your end of the year tax records, please make sure you keep us updated with any new information change.

When the reoccurring option is activated the payment will be automatically debited based on the pay schedule of the last payment. Any payment and account changes are the responsibility of the parents to inform The Discovery Lounge. In the case of any failed payments, you will be charged a 35.00 NSF fee. All final payments will be automatically debited on the Friday prior to the final week and all card information will be deleted from the system.

Fee Payment Policy: Fees are due on the Friday before the coming week of care. The full weekly fee is due regardless of the number of days a student attends. Days are not prorated and cannot be exchanged for days not attended. If a student misses 5 consecutive days in the program without payment and letting us know, the student will be dismissed from the program, and a new registration fee will be required for re-entry(if there are spaces open). Days cannot be transferred to another week or shared between siblings, there is no exception to this policy.

Late Payment Penalties:  Weekly fees are due on the Friday prior to the week of care.  If fees for the week haven't been paid on Friday by end of business, a $5 late fee is assessed and a $3 late fee is assessed each day thereafter.   (Example: If your tuition is $60/week and you cannot make payment until Thursday, you would add $5 for Monday., and $3 for Tues. and $3 for Wed ect.)  If you will not be making full payment on Friday, or at least Monday morning including the late fee, remember to make other arrangements for your child. Your child cannot return to our program until full payment of the balance due has been made.

Weekly fees and days are not transferable and are not credited for any reason for time not attended. In the rare case of a refund, we will issue the refund by way of credit to the program. Monetary refunds are handled on a case by case basis. If there is a monetary refund issued please allow 3-5 business days to process. Approval for refund, must be approved by the board. 

Weekly fees are based on being in the program, and not attendance. Once you register, payments will start immediately. If you do not plan to start your child when you register, please wait and register when you are ready to start.

You agree that the operator may authorize the physician of his/her choice to provide emergency care in the event that neither you nor the family physician can be contacted immediately. 

The afterschool/summer academy is well child-proofed, and the children are consistently well supervised. However, accidents do happen. The undersigned(s) assume(s) all risk of injury or harm to the child or children associated with participation in and agree(s) to release, indemnify, defend and forever discharge The Discovery Lounge, Inc, it's staff, employees, and agents of and from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to the child, or by the child, howsoever caused, arising or to arise by reason of or during the child's participation in the day care.

You understand that the facility will notify you each time your child is to participate in an activity that would involve transportation other than daily travel to and/or from school.


You have read and agree with all policies and procedures set by The Discovery Lounge, Inc. When your child is absent, you understand that your normal weekly rate is required. NO EXCEPTIONS. Weekly fees are not prorated. You agree to the two week notice period when removing your child
