Adjustments to the hiring process at hedgehog lab

This survey gives you the opportunity to ask for consideration and accommodations made to your application to better support you. This is for those who are neurodivergent, have a disability or long-term conditions. Please note, you do not have to have a registered disability to request reasonable adjustments.

For more information reach out to Holly at holly.orange@hedgehoglab.com

Examples of adjustments we could make:

  • Building in rest or toilet breaks
  • Having a support worker attend an interview
  • Adapting tests or selection exercises, for example, by giving additional time for completion, or whether answers need to be written and could be verbal
  • Sharing interview questions ahead of the interview
  • Having the camera off during the interview
  • Detailed instructions to join the virtual meeting or how to find us if you have a face-to-face interview
  • Consideration for environment, including virtual environment (e.g. background noise, lighting)
  • Copy of the transcript with the option to review your answers
  • Likely to need questions repeated, slowed down or explained in more detail
  • Allow consideration for movement and stimming

The above list is not exhaustive. We recognise individuals have different needs and requirements. Please let us know what reasonable adjustments you need and use the above as a guide.

If you’re invited to an interview we will reach out to you to find out how we can best support you.

*What’s ‘reasonable’ will depend on each situation. We will need to consider carefully if the adjustment is practical, or will remove or reduce the barrier
