"Dreamers" - Research Questions

These questions will become the framework for the choreographic and musical scores for a new work I am developing about Immigration and Identity. Please answer as much or as little as you want and as honestly as possible. 

I am not collecting your information, and you can choose to share your name in full, partial, or not at all (please put some initials or characters in if you want to exclude your name). 

Participation in this research is voluntary; you can exit and not submit the form at any time. 

As this is the framework of a work in progress, I ask you not to divulge or share all and any of the contents on this form. Also, please understand that the contents of this form and your responses may be utilized fully or partially in a public performance.

Could you tell me what the experience was like coming to the United States?

How the transition was from coming to the States and starting school/work?

What was the experience of adjusting to the difference in culture in the States? Did you make any changes to "fit in" American society? 
Looking back, are there aspects of your culture that you’ve lost from coming and staying in the States? If so, what aspects?  At home, how was the experience of maintaining your culture?
In what way do you feel that coming to the States from a different country and speaking a different language has shaped you into the person you are today?
Do you feel that being an immigrant changes others’ perceptions of you? In what way?
Do living in the States feels like home? Please share which aspects do and don't.
