Kismet Cafe, opening December 2023, is a casual counter-service cafe that nourishes our community with locally roasted coffee, unique baked goods and healthy Mediterranean food for a great value. Kismet Cafe serves beer and wine.  www.kismetcaferidgway.com

Available Positions:
  1. Barista/Front of House: This position includes welcoming, interacting with and serving customers, making coffee drinks, serving  food and beverages - including beer and wine, cashiering, restocking and receiving inventory, light janitorial duties, and keeping the whole cafe clean, safe and well organized. Minimum age: 18 years old.
  2. Cook/Back of House: This position includes preparing Mediterranean food and baked goods according to established recipes and procedures, delivering food to customers' tables in a friendly manner, restocking and receiving inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe and well-organized kitchen and storage area. Minimum age: 16 years old.

Compensation:
Pay is commensurate with experience. Includes tips which are shared across the front and back of house.

Willing and able to complete necessary training.  
Willing to pitch in and help out - taking on a variety of tasks as the need arises. 
Able to work quickly during busy periods, prioritizing multiple tasks while maintaining composure.
Honest and ethical.
Able to safely complete physical tasks associated with the job such as lifting, carrying, using knives and other kitchen implements and equipment, climbing up and down stairs (reasonable accommodations will be made).
Able to do basic math and accurately interpret written instructions.
