Problem Statement

I’m handling X std in a well known school at Salem, Tamil Nadu. As a teacher we find it difficult to grab the attention of the students in the classroom. Even if we give the works to be done at home, they are not able to do it. They are completely involved in playing online games. The culture of playing these kind of games had not only robbed them of their studies, but also it has ripped off their sleep. Students spend sleepless nights playing games and in the morning they sleep in the class or remain inattentive. The seriousness of examination and studies is no more in the hearts of students. To the worst, the over usage of internet has also made some students addicted to unhealthy websites with life damaging contents. As a teacher or as a principal, how will you I handle these students and bring their attention towards education.
