To be eligible to serve on the NP Board, pursuant to the By-Laws of Northumberland Players, Section 3.02 Qualification, you must meet the following criteria:
Each director shall be and thereafter remain throughout such Director’s term:

a) A member of Northumberland Players.
b) No person shall be qualified for election as a Director if such person is less than 18 years of age.
c) Not of unsound mind and has been so found by a court in Canada or elsewhere.
d) Is an individual.
e) Not found under the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992 or under the Mental HealthAct to be incapable of managing property.
f) Does not have bankrupt status.

Northumberland Players is a “working Board”. This means each Board member is assigned a “portfolio” of specific responsibilities. The typical time commitment for each volunteer Board member is approximately ten hours per month.

Summary of the Process
1) The member completes and submits this application form by 11:59pm November 1, 2021.

2) An in-person interview with two members of the current NP Board will be arranged with the applicant.

3) The supporters of the applicant will be contacted to confirm their support for the member's application.

4) The application and conversations with the applicant and their supporters will be shared with the current NP Board in order that they may conduct their due diligence of applicants.
