Enrolment
Enrolment must be made every term, regardless how many terms you have taken courses with us. To enrol in our courses, fill out the enrolment form below. When we have processed your enrolment, you will get a personal confirmation email from us to the email address you have provided. When the confirmation email arrives your enrolment becomes binding which means you are obliged to pay the course fee. When we confirm your enrolment, a 14-day cooling-off period will start. Please note that you are not guaranteed a place on the course until you have paid the course fee.

Waiting List
Should the places on our courses or workshops fill up before you receive confirmation email, you will be notified and will be automatically placed on the waiting list. If you are placed on the waiting list, you do not have to pay the course fee until we offer you a place on the course.

Course Fee and Payment
You must pay your course fee well in advance of the course start. If you enrol near the start of the course and the payment is not registered, you must show a receipt for your internet payment before your first class. For children under the age of 18, your legal guardian must approve the booking and be responsible for ensuring that the payment arrives on time.

The course fee must be paid and should be in our account at the latest on the date written on your invoice (förfallodatum). You are not guaranteed a place on the course until you have paid the fee in full. If you have not paid when the course starts the GEST staff may deny you entry to the course. Please note that in case of a reminder of an unpaid fee, SEK 200 may be charged as a delay fee.

Cancelled or Changed Times
If GEST is forced to cancel a course or lesson before it starts, we will either rearrange the date/ time of the course or lesson, or you will be entitled to a refund for the relevant fee you have paid. You will also be entitled to a refund if we are forced to change the times of all the course sessions in a way that means you cannot participate in the course. GEST will not be financially liable for classes or dates cancelled due to events beyond our reasonable control. We retain the right to change the advertised programme of classes in the event of illness or other circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather, force majeure and so on.

Your Right to Cancel
In accordance with the Swedish Distance and Door-to-Door Sales Act (2005:59), you are entitled to cancel your course within 14 days from the date on which we confirm your registration/enrolment (the cooling-off period). If you cancel during the 14-day cooling-off period we will refund the full fee we received from you. The refund will be made by bank transfer unless we have explicitly agreed something else. You are responsible for providing us with correct bank information so that we can make the refund accordingly. Please note that refund can take up to 4 weeks.

If you register for a course that starts before your 14-day cooling-off period has ended, you have agreed that the course shall start during the cooling-off period. This means that if you cancel the course within the 14-day period then you must pay, and we are entitled to retain a proportional share of the course fee. If you wish to exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us by email or phone before the 14-day period ends.

Cancellation after the 14-day cooling-off period is not granted. This means that once the cooling-off period has ended, so does your right to cancel and you are obliged to pay the full course fee even if you do not intend to take the course. Please note that your right to cancel does not include completed courses or missed lessons.

Cancellation due to sickness or move
If you are ill longer than three weeks (medical certificate is required) or move to another city (certificate required) and can’t continue with the course or workshop, GEST will refund the remaining part of the course(s), minus an administration fee of 200 SEK. Settlement takes place from the date the certificate shows. Email us cancellation immediately.

Other absence
If you fail to attend any lesson for a reason other than those stated above, you can’t retake the session free of charge later or get financial compensation for the session you missed. To be absent from a booked course does not count as cancellation and does not give a payment waiver.

Processing of Personal Data
At GEST we always value your personal privacy and strive for a high level of data protection. In our privacy policy we explain how we collect and use your personal information. You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions.

Privacy Policy
Due to GDPR *, we have complemented our notification rules with a privacy policy that describes how we save your personal information.

In order to facilitate administration, we keep information about name, address, email address and what activities you participate in with us. We also use the information to notify you about any changes in schedule during course periods as well as other information about the ongoing or future activities at GEST.

Media Use Rights Permission
GEST will sometimes ask participants or their parents/guardians to grant permission for GEST to take photographs and/or videos of the students. In case of a planned recording GEST will contact the participants and/or guardians to inform them of the recording. Participants have the right to refuse, and in that case, GEST aims to work around participants who wish to not take part of the recordings. GEST will always provide, and students must sign a media consent form before any and every recording. GEST will also contact the participants before the class of the intended recording to let the class know. No personal information is ever used or linked to these photographs/videos. We ask for full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity, or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
