Nominees must meet the following criteria:

1. Be an active registered member of the parish, at least 18 years old.
2. Be a baptized, practicing Catholic.
3. Be a weekly participant at Sunday Mass at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
4. Be willing to face the future with hope and be open to, and adapt to, change.
5. Be willing to participate in an orientation session and placement process.
6. Be willing to serve a 3-year term on the Council and make a genuine commitment to attend all monthly meetings.
7. Be willing to make a genuine commitment to attend other occasional meetings (when necessary), and as many parish events as possible.
