SWEA (Swedish Women's Education Association) is a global network with around 6,000 Swedish-speaking women in more than 70 chapters in over 30 countries. SWEA is the largest non-profit organization outside of Sweden that promotes the Swedish language, culture, and traditions. In San Francisco, we have over 300 members and are dedicated to promoting Swedish culture and traditions in the Bay Area. To learn more, check out this link: https://sanfrancisco.swea.org/about-us/
In cooperation with the Scandinavian Department at UC Berkeley, we are excited to offer SWEA travel stipends to up to five undergraduate students who are planning to pursue studies in Sweden each year. These stipends will each be in the amount of $2,000.
