Civil Justice Data Commons 2023 Datafest

February 6 through 20, 2023.

Georgetown’s Civil Justice Data Commons invites you to explore our court data to develop novel ways of understanding the American justice system!

We’re inviting undergrad/graduate students and professionals with data analysis experience to join our two week remote Datafest.

Court data are notoriously difficult for researchers to access, but our secure repositories offer a unique opportunity to work with case records from around the country. The Redivis platform provides you the resources to use SQL, R, and Python to dive in, as well as easily pull in outside datasets.

This is a great chance to use data to answer questions about some of the largest problems facing people today, such as evictions and debt collection.

We’re eager to see what you find, and you can submit your project to be highlighted by the Georgetown Civil Justice Data Commons on our website and the opportunity for an in depth feedback session with leading subject matter experts in Civil Justice.
