Understanding, Laudato Si' Project

We have to realize that a true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” (Laudato si’, 49)

The Laudato si' Project is an opportunity for Gr 7-9 students to learn about and act on the future of our planet, the effect of humanity on global issues such as climate change and poverty, and the protection and care for "our common home." Students will complete a learning activity around the inspirational encyclical, and then meet to share their responses with peers from across the country and around the world.
