Please complete the following application for the Summer 2020 General Atomics Teacher Externship.  Applications will be reviewed beginning December 20, 2019.

The externship will run from July 6 to 17, 2020.  The schedule is listed below:

Week 1
July 6 - 9 (4 day week):
-          First Day Orientation for all externs:
            o   Familiarization with GA: Who we are, our community involvement
            o   Safety Class
            o   Shop Familiarization (students divided up by the site they will be working at)
-          4 externs start composite class at GB
-          4 externs start engine build at ElMo or Adelanto (TBD)
-          4 externs start Avionics Workshop

Week 2
July 13 - 17 (5 Day Week):
-          4 externs finish composite class at GB
-          4 externs follow built engine to ElMo for testing
-          4 externs finish Avionics Workshop
-          Last Day:
           o   Resume Workshop: What we look for in potential employees, key skills we look for and how to develop
                 a student’s resume towards those skills
           o   Wrap-up luncheon with leadership, externs and instructors affiliated with the program at GB
