What is your full name? *
I have completed 104 *or higher* at UIC with a grade of B or above: Arabic, French, German, Italian, Spanish only. (If NO, you can't be a peer tutor in Spring 2023. Apply in May 2023 to tutor in Fall 2023.) *

The Peer Tutoring Apprentice class includes hands-on experience as a peer tutor and/or in-class language learning assistant. This means tutoring or LLA for 3 hours/week in addition to the class.  We work with your schedule for this.  Will you have time to do this? *
What language have you taken 104 or higher in at UIC? (Only select one:  this is the language you will peer tutor in).   *
Did you start in the BLP at UIC (101, 102, 103, 104)? *
Who was your teacher for the *highest level* language, literature, or culture class you have taken at UIC (in the language you will tutor in)? For example, Mariam Babiker; Chiara Fabbian; Elizabeth Loentz; Jessica Hoselton, Claudia Fernandez, etc. *We will contact this person. *
What is your major?  (ANY major is fine: you do NOT have to be a language major). *
I am a double major.

What is your estimated GPA at UIC? *
What interests you about being a peer tutor for other language students at UIC? Why would you be a good tutor?  How do you see becoming a peer tutor as being helpful to you? Please explain your motivation in a few sentences. *
What programs, if any, have you participated in in high school, college, or elsewhere, that have prepared you for working with diverse student populations? For example, have you gone to tutoring yourself as a student?  have you been a tutor, a camp counselor, part of a club?  Please explain in a paragraph. *
Are you interested in getting INTERNSHIP credits for peer tutoring after completing this course? *
Are you interested in applying to be a paid peer tutor after finishing this course? *
Apprentice tutors will have the opportunity to be Language Learning Assistants. This means, you'd be in a 100-level language classroom at least once per week working with students. Please look at the class list below and select ALL the class/times in your language that you *could* attend as an LLA.
