At FGS, we are committed to breaking down barriers of opportunity for low-income, first-generation, and/or immigrant/minority students on their high school and college journey. Our team works together to push students to carry on with their academic aspirations while raising awareness of the inequities in education.
This year, we are launching our Community Incubator initiative. High school students will come together, attend programming, receive marketing resources, and connect with students across the nation to aid students within their respective communities. We want to give you the power through training to not only overcome barriers you face due to our education system, but also spread that motivation to other students throughout your community. We want to show you and help you show others there is a way to follow your dreams and passions. From this experience, you will retain hard skills such as networking, resourcefulness, confidence, and a national community of students in similar situations as you to raise awareness of FGLI students' unique experiences in the US education system.
