The Department of Global Health and The Centre for Evidence-based Health Care (CEBHC) within Stellenbosch University, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is hosting a webinar on Engagement and advocacy: stories propelling evidence to action
The implementation of evidence-informed practices are influenced by many stakeholders such as policymakers, healthcare managers and professionals, healthcare funders, media, community, family, and the patient him- or herself. As the pathways of evidence to policy to practice are not linear and are affected by many factors (e.g. culture, socio-economic status, etc.), role-players and agendas, there is a need to work at various levels to influence and engage with all stakeholders.

This panel session will share stories – the good, bad and ugly -  of using advocacy strategies for enhancing the chances of using evidence to spur change.
