Thank you very much for expressing an interest in volunteering for the AKAYA Foundation - Ghana.

AKAYA is a non-profit organisation focusing on the personal and professional development of the next generation of female African leaders by building their confidence and ensuring they reach their full potential. It is an organisation dedicated to seeing that all African girls and young women have the confidence to take ownership of their journeys’ in good knowledge and in good health, in order to thrive in their own world and that of the next generations’. 

AKAYA’s primary activities are in Ghana and with the success of their flagship programme - Like Her, over 500 young girls across Ghana have been impacted, with barriers to pursuing an education being minimised.
Last June, we were able to impact over 100 young girls. In July 2022, with the support of our donors and volunteers, the project visited more schools across Ghana and reached over 400 young girls.
