"My Pants" ($10/book)
Description: (North Street Book Prize 1st Place! and #1 Amazon New Release for Children's Books on Disability) My Pants is a funny and heart-warming story about a neurodivergent child. My Pants follows Celana, a relatable and quirky little girl who is obsessed with pants and struggling with everyday social interactions. Her parents take her to multiple doctors who can't seem to give a good explanation for her anxiety. With eye-catching, brightly colored illustrations, My Pants is a story about inclusivity, advocating for yourself or others, and well, pants. It teaches children new coping mechanisms and includes fun activity pages at the end of the book.

"Two Cents" ($8/book)
Description: In aisle six of the local toy store lives an energetic piggy bank named Koppig. Contrary to his stereotype, Koppig does not like to sit and hold change. He loves to run. When Koppig overhears talk of a triathlon happening in aisle seven, he decides to compete. Unfortunately, the other toys are not too fond of their piggy bank competitor, leading to a recurring speech about what piggy banks are supposed to do. This personified version of the American idiomatic expression gives readers an education in communication and self-assurance. Koppig learns that not all “two cents” are worth the weight. Kohr's storytelling (credited as "Sigur") paired with Fisk’s child-friendly paintings make Two Cents a classic in the making.

"Rooker The Looker" ($7/book)
Description: Rooker The Looker takes place in a colorful, fantastical world of personified eyeglasses. Rooker is a shy but imaginative pair of children’s spectacles, and his parents are struggling to understand why Rooker would rather stare at his friends than play alongside them. Is something wrong? In this heartfelt and funny story told in verse, we are reminded that onlooking isn’t bad, just another version of play. With eye-catching, brightly colored illustrations, Rooker The Looker will have you running to your optometrist to get yourself a pair of eyeglasses.

"Sui Tui's Last Straw" ($8/book)
Description: Sui Tui is the poorest animal on the farm. Once he tells the reader about his straw cape, he laments that the last piece of straw is missing. After meeting all of the other animals, who do you think can part with one MOO-sely piece of straw? With eye-catching, brightly colored illustrations, "...Last Straw" introduces children to the concept of equity versus equality, as well as friendship and self-worth. The book includes [2] fun activity pages.

"Water Your Human " ($8/book)
Description: (Writers Digest Honorable Mention!) Omi is a young alien boy who dreams of owning a glorbal (pet). At the same time, his school tasked him with caring for a human named Karen. Omi hopes this will prove he can care for a glorbal... but how does one care for a human? This silly, light-hearted story is weirdly educational. Water Your Human is also a great reminder to practice empathy while caring for others. With eye-catching, brightly colored illustrations and told in verse, this is a cool story to read aloud.

"My Washer Dryer: A Story About Lung Transplant" ($6/book)
Description: (It's more of a graphic novel for adults/patients.) Nicole Kohr created this personified metaphor to bring awareness to bilateral lung transplants. A cystic fibrosis (C.F.) patient and bilateral lung transplant recipient, Nicole connects to the audience by comparing the reader's washer and dryer to a pair of lungs. The reader experiences a transplant patient's thought processes, emotions, and health decline through the motions of an everyday chore. Accompanied by her playful doodles, Nicole's short story will make even the most complex journey seem like a relatable milestone.
