Asset Owner Alliance Call for Comment
The Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance (NZAOA) is issuing a Call for Comment on carbon neutrality / "implied temperature rise" methodology convergence.

The Alliance is an international group of institutional investors with a commitment to transitioning investment portfolios to net-zero emissions by 2050 consistent with a maximum temperature rise of 1.5°C.

In order for us to monitor progress and report against this 1.5°C target, we express a need to develop robust measurement methodologies. While various solutions and metrics already exist, more convergence is urgently needed. The NZAOA is not designed to develop such solutions. Instead, we have described our expectations in the 'criteria document'. In order to check our expectations, further advance the dialogue, and methodological convergence we invite your organization to comment and provide its views.

This Call for Comment is open to data and service providers, NGOs, asset managers and owners, government representatives, academia and civil society. There are 3 sections. You may view all before entering your response.

Criteria Document is viewable at: http://www.unepfi.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/AO-Alliance_Request-For-Comment-on-Methodological-Principles_FINAL.pdf

Directions on Responding
All Questions list one (1) criteria. Each criteria is then followed by 3 response types and a comment box.

Firstly, 'Agree/Provided' indicates 'agreement' with the criteria (typically provided by civil society or academic commentators) or 'provided' by tools/services from the respondents organization (typically provided by data/service commentators)

Secondly, 'Should/Could Develop' indicates that the criteria is favorable but needs to be developed/currently unavailable in existing methodology (of the respondent)

Finally, 'Disagree/Not Provided' indicates 'disagreement' (typically provided by civil society or academic commentators) or 'not provided' by tools/services from the respondents organization (typically provided by data/service commentators)

In your comments, please be specific about the exact change you would recommend to the existing criteria.
