U11 Chess Tournament 24th October 2020

Entry fee £20, entrants must be ECF silver members or above
7 rounds (more if time allows; less if time forbids)
Prizes : Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and then also best U9 and best U8. All U8s will also receive a small prize.

Children must be under the age of 11 on the day of the tournament. This differs from the usual U11 definition and has been adapted for consistency with the national policy on face coverings.

The time control will be 15min + 8sec increment and there will be 7 rounds. The first round starts at 10am. Please arrive by 9.40am to allow for briefings.

This tournament has a capacity of 30 children. In terms of government guidance, the tournament is a 'supervised activity provided for children' which is one of the allowed exemptions to e.g.the rule of six: see the ECF page at https://www.englishchess.org.uk/covid-19-update/

On completion of the registration form, you will receive a subsequent email (this may take up to one day) with BACS transfer details. You will also receive a waiver form which must be completed and returned.
