Cristina Galvan So
My name is Cristina Galvan So and I am hoping to represent the families of Creekside students on the Site Council as a parent representative. I am a mom to three rambunctious boys, two of which currently attend Creekside (2nd grade and Kindergarten). I’ve called the Bay Area home for more than twenty years, beginning with attending UC Berkeley for undergrad and then Stanford for my master’s degree in education. I've worked in the field of education for more than a decade as a high school science teacher, school administrator, and curriculum developer. I have always been dedicated to ensuring that the schools meet the learning needs of all students. In my rare moments when I'm free, I love to find time to bake and work in our backyard veggie garden.

I've enjoyed representing the Creekside parent community over the past two years as part of the site council and would like to continue in this role for another term as we transition to new school leadership. I hope to be able to continue to use my experiences as an educator in a way to support the school in developing and evaluating rigorous goals for all students. It would be my honor and privilege to represent you on site council. Thank you.
James Zalman
My name is James Zalman, and it is an honor to submit my name for reelection to Creekside’s School Site Council (SSC) for the next 2 years. In the past four years, I have volunteered, participated and assisted in SSC as a member and Chairperson.

With my experience, I will continue to work with the parents, principal and school to develop, review and evaluate school programs, budgets, goals and achievements. I am well aware of the importance and impact of SSCs with their commitment to (1) measuring the effectiveness of improvement strategies, (2) revising/reaffirming school goals and (3) recommend/monitor the Single Plan for Student Achievement, all of which help Creekside move forward and upward.

On a personal note, Deanna and I have a daughter, AnaSofia, who will started 4th grade this year at Creekside Elementary School. As always, we are excited to be a part of the Comet educational community and its reputation of excellence.
Sangini Sood
I would like to submit my name for consideration for Creekside's School Site Council. As a clinical psychologist with a practice locally here in the community, I feel that I can bring a unique perspective to the council. In my work with local families, I am given the opportunity to have a pulse on what students and parents are needing, educationally, socially and emotionally. When working with young clients, I often have the chance to visit other school sites when attending IEP meetings and am able to gain insight on what works and doesn't work for students. I believe that I would be an excellent addition to the council to assist in improving strategies and programs to maintain Creekside's outstanding track record.

My husband Vikram and I have 3 children. Sid started 2nd grade this year, Arjun entered Kindergarten and our youngest, Leila, will enter TK in a couple of short years. We are excited to watch our kids blossom and grow as Creekside Comets and enjoy being a part of this hard working school community.Thank you for your consideration!
Samet Patel
My name is Sameet Patel, and I would like to submit my name for election to the Creekside's School Site Council (SSC) for the 2 year term.  I have 3 young children and my eldest son finished Kindergarten at Creekside last year and is now in first grade and my middle child will be in Kindergarten next year.  Last year I fortunate enough to have participated in the Watch DOGS program and volunteer to help with the Creekside Carnival.  I believe with my past experience with over 14 years in education and leading a School Site Council as an Assistant Principal at the middle school level, I would be a great fit for the Creekside SSC.  I have had experience developing the Comprehensive Safety Plan and working with various stakeholders to help focus on the SRVUSD's Framework for Excellence and prioritize student achievement along with students' social emotional development.
