ESE Credit Increase Form
FOR EE, CMPE, & SSE STUDENTS ONLY

Please use this form to request a credit increase. A gpa of 3.0 or better is required with no outstanding incompletes. The department can increase the maximum load from 5 to 6 cu or 5.5 to 6.5 cu (one cu increment) if the student is in good academic standing (a 3.0 gpa or better and no outstanding incompletes).

In rare cases, students may request a course load of 7 or 7.5 cu by submitting a Petition for Action form. In the majority of cases, petitions will not be approved unless the student demonstrated the ability to successfully complete a 6.5 cu semester at a good academic level. Students are required to provide a rationale on the form:
