LAEP Job Posting Request Form - 24/25 AY
The Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) is a state-based form of work-study that provides qualified students meaningful, career-relevant opportunities. On-campus opportunities must be research-based and are 100% funded by the program.

Please keep in mind as you interview that students who qualify for LAEP come from a variety of historically marginalized populations. For example, they may be first generation, experiencing homelessness, or a current or former foster child. Your research position may be their first job

Complete this request form to determine if your job is eligible to participate in LAEP for the 24/25 AY. A detailed job description and the job's research component justification are required for approvalWe aim to respond with detailed next steps within 1-2 business days.

Student Job Title The format of the job title must be: "LAEP - descriptive title". Include descriptive detail for the title, such as the office or department in conjunction with a description of the work. 

Ex: “LAEP - McHenry Library Literary Research Assistant” rather than "LAEP - Student Assistant".

Student wage CA minimum wage is $16. We recommend $17-20/hr+ (fully subsidized) wages for LAEP positions.
