The DEI is committed to acknowledging, listening and implementing a standard of inclusion by collaborating, in partnership with you, the workforce of Thomas Allen. We are committed to create a Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive working community for you by reviewing and requesting Policy Changes at Thomas Allen. It is the DEI Teams goal to improve the lives of those we serve by listening and advocating for change.

Please take a few minutes to fill out the Survey below. We are sending you this questionnaire to you in hopes of gathering information that will allow us to center our focus on your direct needs as it pertains to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Thomas Allen.

NOTE: This survey is voluntary and will be kept confidential within the DEI advocacy team. We are elated for the opportunity to represent you and we want you to be represented truthfully, sincerely and honorably.  Please be assured, we truly value your responses, and will do our part in ensuring your information is kept confidential.

As a reminder, the DEI Team's role is advisory, and our focus is to advocate on your behalf for the betterment of the employee experience at Thomas Allen. Your honest responses to this survey will assist us in ensuring the unmet needs of our employees at Thomas Allen are advocated for. Ultimately however, policy changes and implementation are at the discretion of Management/Administration.

The DEI Policy Advisory Team meets via Video Call twice monthly on Wednesdays for no more than 2 hours combined. We have a 1.5 hour meeting towards the beginning of the month and a 30 minute meeting later in the month for follow-up. In addition to this, individual members may be asked to spend time focusing on a dedicated project or area of concern outside of meeting times on a voluntary basis. Knowing this time commitment, would you be interested in participating in future DEI Policy Advisory Team discussions, and if so how? *

What Barriers are there (if any) to you participating in the DEI Policy Advisory Team?
We are aware from prior surveys that the voices of Thomas Allen's Direct-care staff are sorely underrepresented. The DEI Policy Advisory Team acknowledges the barriers that impact our Direct-Care Staff from having opportunity to participate in many of the DEI Policy Teams activities. We would like to do everything we can to advocate for changes to policy that will support the active and frequent participation of all willing Direct-Staff members.  Do you have any suggestions that would allow more of our Direct-Care Staff to participate in the DEI Policy Advisory Team or other areas of DEI work at Thomas Allen?
Are there any particular Trainings you'd like to see from the DEI committee?
