CIRES Internship Program (CIP)
CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS
  • This form is for supervisors to propose a project for the CIRES Internship Program [CIP]
  • The projects are 10 weeks duration @ 10 hours per week, and may commence at any time.
  • Participation is open to undergraduate (including honours) and postgraduate coursework students.
  • Students must be enrolled at UQ during the internship and will receive a $3000 tax-free stipend, paid in one lump sum.

Project Description. Provide a comprehensive overview of the project aimed at the student.

e.g., background knowledge, aim, hypothesis and/or approach.

Expected Outcomes. Highlight what students can expect to gain/learn from participating in the project.

e.g., scholars may gain skills in data collection, or specific methodologies, or have an opportunity to contribute to publications from their research.

Expected Deliverables. In addition to the points below, highlight what students will be expected to complete as part of the project.

1. Complete a mid-point presentation (5 week mark) on the project’s progress 

2. Provide a short written summary/overview of the project at the end of the 10 weeks
