Thank you so much for your interest in joining the 2023 Showcase Team! We are excited to bring our theme, Our Africa, to life and will require a solid team of dedicated individuals to do so. Below are the positions we have available and their corresponding expectations briefly outlined.
DECORATIONS CHAIR
Responsible for the execution of the décor for the event. The décor helps to convey the theme of the event and create a welcoming environment for our guests. Décor includes, but is not limited to, the creation of centerpieces, a photo backdrop, and gift baskets. In addition, this committee chair acts as a liaison between performers and the Showcase Directors.
BACKSTAGE CREW
The Manager of the female dressing room is in charge of the female models and helps them with their clothes and getting out on time.
The Manager of the male dressing room is in charge of the guys and helps them with clothing as well as getting to the stage on time.
TIME KEEPER
In charge of keeping track of time and the acts.
CLEAN-UP CREW
Responsible for taking down the decorations, making sure everyone packed up their belongings in the dressing rooms, help clean up the ballroom.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Responsible for passing out the food and drinks during intermission

*All committee chairs will be expected to attend biweekly meetings with the Showcase Directors. Meeting dates will be established at the beginning of the spring semester.
