I. To participate fully in all Program activities, including:
•Attend New Scholars Reception, to be held Thursday, April 13, 4-6 pm, in Ishi Courtyard, Dwinelle Hall.
• Orientation Retreat: Monday, May 22rd through Friday, May 26th, 2023, in person, near campus. I will get there no later than 9 AM on May 22rd and commit to being present through 5 pm on May 26th. Programming will go approximately from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day, with a few hours off some afternoons. Scholars are encouraged but not required to stay in the retreat hotel.
• Summer Whole Group Meetings: twice during the summer.
• Summer Small Group Meetings: Every two weeks.
• Summer bcourses updates: Every two weeks
• Fall Research Seminar: Fridays, 3-5 pm. Even if I take the seminar for no credit, I will attend all meetings and complete all requirements by the specified deadlines.
• Research Conference: January 11-12, 2024, at a venue near campus. I will attend the conference in its entirety, present the results of my research or creative work, and participate in a formal panel practice in RRR week in December 4 - 8, 2023, and at least one additional one in January 8 - 10, 2024.
•Spring Writing Seminar: Fridays 3-5 pm. Even if I take the seminar for no credit, I will complete all requirements by the specified deadlines (unless I am a Fall 2023 graduate and have finished my thesis).
• Volunteer Service: perform 10 hours of volunteer service to the Program (i.e., office administrative assistance, speaking at undergrad research events, help w/ recruiting new cohort/advising applicants, or similar tasks).
