Akins Orchestra and Guitar has a limited number of intermediate quality instruments available for rent through the school year. If you are in an advanced ensemble it is highly recommended you rent a higher quality instrument from some of the local string shops listed on our web page. Guitars can also be rented, but we have secured a very good price for a guitar and it's accessories from Strait Music and in the long run owning is more economically practical then renting.
All rentals are $25/semester or $50/year.

At pick up you will need to bring a check made out to Akins Orchestra and it will be helpful to have your own pen to sign the AISD rental contract. Pick ups will be done curbside in front of the Akins Orchestra doors.
Orchestra instruments will come with a case, a bow and a shoulder rest (Vn's/Va's)
Guitars will come with a case only, (so footstools will still need to be purchased)
