You don't even need to be an American! MEDICAL Democrats are not THAT kind of Democrats.

This IS NOT a POLITICAL group (Republican Party versus Democratic Party); this IS a science-based LEARNING group. We don't discuss political ideologies here. We just learn science.

We base our learning on The Scientific Method and evidence created from The Scientific Method, in keeping with the Royal Society's (RS) motto 'Nullius in verba' which is taken to mean 'take nobody's word for it'. It is an expression of the determination of RS Fellows (and Medical Democrats) to withstand the domination of authority and to verify all statements by an appeal to facts determined by experiment (evidence).

To be accepted in this cohort, you need only meet the following requirements:

1) you need to be 18 years of age or older, AND

2) you need to be a legal adult (at or above the age of majority https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_majority ) in your country, AND

3) you need a free gmail account‡, AND

4) you need to be ready to devote at least 5 hours a week for 48 weeks a year to learning the life sciences, AND

5) you also need to be either (a) fluent in English or else (b) ready to spend 5 EXTRA hours a week learning English in addition to learning the life sciences (because for now, English is the only language available; although you're welcome to submit an application anyway, and if our applicant pool eventually holds multiple individuals who are fluent in the same language, we'll try to connect you with each other in the next cohort).
