5k Walking and Running Training Programs
The training group will start with an 8-week (9 weeks with a prep week) 5k training program that will begin the week of September 13 and conclude the week of November 8. Together, the training group will choose a 5k event to participate in prior to Thanksgiving.

A second 8-week (9 weeks with a prep week) 5k training program will begin the week of April 4 and conclude the week of May 30. Together, the training group will choose a 5k event to participate in during late May/early June.

Between the two training programs (from November through March) will be an opportunity for more casual/informal training groups to develop organically. Pairs or small groups could meet once or twice a week for a walk or run. The coach commits to leading at least one training session per week if there is interest from the group and will also help to facilitate other sessions and provide workouts when requested.

During the eight weeks of the training program, each participant should aim to meet with the coach/group for one workout per week, though two workouts per week will be offered and all are welcome. Between the fall and spring training programs, informal small groups may choose to meet for workouts and the coach could be present for one workout per week if members of the group are interested. Please provide information below regarding your availability, focusing on the eight weeks of the upcoming training program. Specific times and days will be selected based on the feedback of the training group and the availability of the coach.

About the Coach
Jen Ceolinski is a lifelong walker/hiker/runner and a certified running coach. She has been coaching individuals and groups of all ages for the past fifteen years in distances from 100 meters to the marathon. Jen has also specifically coached these 5k training programs to individuals and groups many times over the past five years. Having joined Williams in September 2020, Jen is looking forward to connecting with the community, sharing her passion for physical/mental/emotional wellness, and gaining some inspiration and motivation for her own fitness journey!
