This form is used by Great Northern Circuits to gather information on people who are interested in participating in the closed beta for the DE7301 - Display Expander for the IC7300.

Beta Group 1 will be provided hardware for free. This is occurring early March 2023.

Beta Group 2 will be offered to purchase hardware at "cost" + shipping, sometime after Beta 1 completes.

What is being required of you

You are required to accept the risk that is inherent in a beta product. The purpose of the beta is to make improvements and find problems, which could be potentially damaging to your equipment. In return for you taking this risk, the product is significantly discounted (or free) and you will get early access. Great Northern Circuits has taken reasonable steps to prevent potential damage to your IC7300, but please understand the purpose of this beta is to find problems. The radio used to develop the DE7301 is undamaged and fully operational, but this does not guarantee your future results.
No selling/reselling/transfer of hardware to a third party. As a beta version of the product, it could be lacking critical features or critical fixes that preclude general consumer use.

What is being requested of you
Generally, you can use it how you see fit. However there are a number of requests:
Actually use the product. Don't sign up if you aren't certain you'd use it.
If you have issues, requests, documentation feedback, etc, report it. Participate in the community discord
No public reviews/unboxing/floggings/etc. This is a beta, it is not yet ready for full public scrutiny.
Public display/usage (youtube, twitch, etc) is acceptable, but the DE7301 should be used to facilitate whatever you are doing, and not the subject/purpose of the video.
There is no 'embargo' on discussion. If people ask questions about it, feel free to talk about it, to send them to the company page (or documentation) or link to the discord.
