The Palmer Williams Group (PWG)
has been in operation since 2013 (www.palmerwilliamsgroup.org). We are a 501
(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Mobile County Alabama. The organization was created to
provide programs to help disadvantaged youth overcome interpersonal obstacles
and encourage them to embrace family values, pursue an education and avoid
life's pitfalls. Our mission is to help today’s youth see a better tomorrow.
PWG’s youth programs are structured to address and mitigate challenges or
obstacles blocking the path to success for many talented youths within our
community. Our programs focus on teaching today’s youth life skills such as
financial literacy, communication, ethics, entrepreneurship, and the lifelong
value of education and the rule of law.
We are excited to award a total of two $500 Ben Harris Cultural Scholarships to students graduating from
Prichard / Mobile area high schools in Spring 2025.
Application Instructions
Please complete the application form to
apply for the Ben Harris Cultural Scholarship by 11:59pm on Friday, October 18, 2024. Incomplete and late applications will not be accepted.
Requirements:

Must be a senior graduating from Blount, LeFlore, Vigor, or Williamson
High School in Spring 2025
•
Must enroll in a 4-year college or university in Fall 2025. Payment will be made directly to the school
NO GPA REQUIREMENTS. 500 Word Essay will be evaluated along with Extra-Curricular activities.
The scholarship
winners will be notified no later than Monday, November 4th via email. The scholarship will be
presented during the 8TH Annual PWG Gala
event on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile, Alabama. NOTE: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE 8TH ANNUAL GALA EVENT TO RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP. Each winner will receive 3 tickets (Valued at $300). If you cannot attend, the scholarship will be awarded to the next highest score student.
