BHOF Bound Scholarship Application
BHOF Bound is an ongoing, donation-based event series with proceeds feeding into a scholarship fund for a Chicago community member in need to attend the Burlesque Hall of Fame (BHOF) Weekender in Las Vegas in 2020.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
1) Live in Chicago or have resided in Chicago for at least 30 days at some point during the application period
2) Attend a BHOF Bound Event.**
**While we do accept donations through a ticketing link, please note that making a donation is NOT required in order to be eligible, but attendance at an event is required. Scholarship applicants always have the option to attend events at no cost.
January 24: BHOF Tournament of Tease Screening Party
More dates TBA
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to support the Burlesque Hall of Fame museum/organization - a group dedicated to the preservation of burlesque history/antiquities and their support of burlesque performers of all ages (including their generous support of Burlesque Legends).
This scholarship was created as a joint venture between the Newport Theater (Eva la Feva) and the Chicago Academy of Burlesque (Camille Leon, Willy la Queue, and Vivi Valens).
*** Please note, before applying:
We are hoping that, through a series of events and community donations, we can create a substantial grant to put toward fees of the weekend, but we have no way of anticipating the amount of financial assistance we can provide. Please consider things like flights, hotels, food budget, and tickets to the BHOF event themselves when budgeting your weekend - it is possible that the amount we raise will not be able to cover the extent of these fees.
