BCCIC Workshop - Getting Going with Grants  (Feb 3)
For those working in international cooperation, effective grantseeking is about more than filling out an application form. It involves strategic prospect research for international granters, detailed project planning, and articulating a compelling case, while also employing efficient tools, processes, and systems. Led by a seasoned grant maker and grant writer, Getting Going with Grants will focus on grant writing for international cooperation organizations including  identifying suitable funders, organizing for efficiency and effectiveness, and creating a compelling project rationale. With ample tools, reference materials, examples, and strategies for success, this participatory workshop will provide an overview of the grantseeking spectrum, and hone in on:

- funder search techniques, tools, and tips
- effective approaches for articulating project purpose: the “Why”
- creating efficiencies, building capacity, and removing roadblocks

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from a pro in a small group setting, get direct feedback from the facilitator and your peers, and take home practical tools and resources to streamline and enhance your project planning and proposal writing efforts. If your international non-profit is looking for grant support, you won’t want to miss this valuable workshop!
