2024 SHS Marching Blue Devils Color Guard sign-up


Color Guard tryouts for the 2024 SHS Marching Blue Devils will take place at SHS on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Please come dressed in athletic clothing, wear tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle. For any inquiries, feel free to email Mr. Collins at lcollins@bullochschools.org.

Prior to the tryouts, Color Guard practice sessions will be held at SHS from Monday, April 29 to Thursday, May 2, also from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. These sessions will cover all necessary skills and routines for the auditions on May 3. We will meet in the band room on April, 29th at 4 pm.

Results of the auditions will be emailed to all participants. Additionally, the Color Guard roster will be posted on the SHS Marching Band's social media platforms.

There is no fee for auditioning. However, if selected for the Color Guard, a $200 band fee will be required to cover expenses such as uniforms, equipment, and transportation. This fee will be due on the first day of Color Guard camp. Additionally, all participants must have a physical examination in order to participate.

Required dates for summer camps:
July 8-12 - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm - Color Guard Camp
July 15-19 - 8:00 am to 8:30 pm - Band Camp

If selected for the MBD Color Guard for the upcoming year, participation in the marching band class during the fall semester will be mandatory. The marching band class is scheduled for 4th block. Are you willing to commit to taking the marching band class next year if you make the Color Guard?
