From March 2020 through February 2022, the Golden West College campus was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which meant that club members were unable to drop off Collection of Kindness items to Campus Life. During this time, we heard from ICC and our student clubs and organizations that the desire to give back to others during this extraordinary public health crisis was stronger than ever. ICC created the Virtual Acts of Kindness program to meet this need. While our campus is now once again fully operational, we recognize that many of our students may primarily be taking online classes, or that some students may be more able to volunteer their time or services as opposed to physical items. As such, the Acts of Kindness program continues as another way for club members to positively impact their community.
Each time you perform an Act of Kindness, you're invited to submit that act using this form. We've tried to be creative and flexible by providing both in-person opportunities, as well as opportunities that you can participate in entirely online. Additionally, we have provided an "Other" space for you to enter your own ideas, since we know this list isn't exhaustive. At the end of each month, stipends will be awarded from the ICC Account to Individual Club Accounts in our traditional amounts for 1st place ($60.00), 2nd place ($40.00), and 3rd place ($20.00).
