Project BackgroundOver the past 2 years, the City has been working with the community to develop a Comprehensive Plan, known as Vision SMTX, which establishes city-wide vision and goals for the future of San Marcos for the next 20 years. As part of this project, we're kicking off a Area Plans for different parts of San Marcos to offer residents an opportunity to take a proactive role in planning where they live and work.
What is an Area Plan?
An Area Plan will take a closer look at the needs, challenges, opportunities, and vision for specific areas & neighborhoods. To do this, we'll be working closely with you to develop the plan, gather your ideas about how to improve quality of life, and outline specific ways to implement the goals of Vision SMTX at a smaller scale.
