We Keep God's Commandments
1. First locate your "Together in Jesus" First Reconciliation Lesson 2 sheet and your stickers sheet.

2. Then turn to the back page to "God's Commandments Help Us Love Together".  Read the page and then locate the stickers on your sheet and attach them to the spots indicated on the page.

3. Then continue to the next two activities.
I Prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation - The Ten Commandments are at the heart of Reconciliation. When we prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation we do what is called an "Examination of Conscience". That is when we take time to think about and ask ourselves if we have kept God's commandments.  As you read "I Prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation" think about the questions that are asked and how they relate to each of the commandments as you prepare yourself for First Reconciliation. Attached to this lesson you will find a "My Examination of Conscience Log" that will help you to reflect on these questions and allow you to record your thoughts as you are preparing for your First Reconciliation on December 15 , 2020.
Now it's time to test your Ten Commandments knowledge. Linked to this lesson is a Ten Commandments Matching sheet that will test your knowledge on matching the correct commandment with the correct number. Give it a shot and then check you answers against the answer sheet. Don't forget to send me a picture when you are done! Good luck!

Great job on completing this lesson!! Today's lesson helps us to see how we can keep the Ten Commandments active today in our lives. It also helps us to see how we can start to prepare for making our own First Reconciliation by taking the first step in examining our conscience. This will help us to prepare for the time when we are in the confessional and we will be telling the priest our sins.
