Join the challenge to build chemistry applications based on quantum algorithms.
Quantum algorithms for chemistry applications are expanding. We can now calculate the ground state energy of the molecule and excited states energy, energy derivatives, periodic systems, and so on! With quantum algorithms, we can test wide varieties of industrial applications like reaction path search, photochemical reaction, molecular dynamics etc.
Coding tool: We will open QunaSys product Qamuy - Gaussian like quantum chemistry software for all participants. You can use it to build chemistry applications easily!
Of course, you are welcome to build using Pennylane, qiskit, Cirq etc.
Evaluation: We will evaluate based of following criteria;
・Originality
・Relevance to use cases
eg) - replicate well known chemical reaction in industrial processes, study of condensed matter phase transition
・Scalability compared to classical algorithm
eg) run benchmarking study of multi-qubit system, do an analytical study
Prizes:
・Top 2 winners earn a one-month summer internship at QunaSys’ Tokyo office*

(*Note that the internship is working with the quantum chemistry application development team, with a 300,000 yen salary, air plane ticket to Tokyo, and accommodation included)
