Waseca Public Schools Back-to-School Family Survey
Waseca Families,

Please complete one survey PER CHILD entering grades K-12 in Waseca Public Schools.

We are working hard to prepare for the arrival of our students and can’t wait to see everyone! Per the state guidance, a hybrid model of instruction could be where we begin based on our current numbers. In this proposed model:
* All students distance learning Monday
* K-1 students would attend in person classes Tuesday through Friday
* Students in grades 2-12 would attend either Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday and Friday as an A or B group.
* All students do have the option to choose full time distance learning if that is what works best for your family.

However, it is important to note if Waseca county has a change in infection rate in the next several weeks, this model may need to be adjusted, and we will continue to communicate that with you as we learn more.

The school board will be reviewing and discussing the full back-to-school plan next Thursday, August 6. This will include full explanation of the proposed hybrid plan, plans for safety and cleaning, transitioning between instructional models, what to do when someone is ill or has been exposed, and staff and student expectations. The plan will then be distributed to all families.

In order to move to the next stage of our planning, we need information from  parents. Please take a few moments to answer these important questions. Once this information is collected, we can begin our scheduling process and assign teachers, and you can expect to receive this information in mid-August. Thank you!
