The Franco-Russian EcoLab is a program of meetings and training for young actors of environmental challenges. It is supported by the Trianon Dialogue through the French Institute, in partnership with MGIMO, the NGO Youth and Environment Europe and the French Office for Biodiversity.
๐ We are looking for 16 French and Russian young people between 18 and 30 years old, engaged in the field of biodiversity and environmental conservation through their studies, associative activities, their mandate or profession. We are inviting you to participate in a 6-day Franco-Russian exchange in Marseille in September 2021 to meet researchers and decision makers in the field of biodiversity, through workshops, round tables, case studies and attendance of the IUCN World Conservation Congress, which brings together several thousand leaders and decision-makers from government, civil society, indigenous peoples, business, and academia, with the goal of conserving the environment and harnessing the solutions nature offers to global challenges.
๐ You will further your knowledge in biodiversity and related policy-making processes, as well as get acquainted with concrete cases of environmental conservation around Marseille. You will also get a chance to plan your own projects together with fellow participants and realise it with the mentorship of Youth and Environment Europe upon completion of the programme.
๐ถ Travel expenses, accommodation and food are covered by the French Institute.
