Steveston Society of Children's Centres Waitlist
Interested in joining our waitlist? Read on

Families are invited to fill out this form to join the waitlist for any of our daycare programs. Please fill out one form per child you are adding to the waitlist so we can sort applications by birthdate.

When child care spaces come available, we batch-email parentsOffers will be made first-reply-first served, at which point you will be sent our registration package. You will have 24 hours to complete the package, including confirming and providing all requested deposits.

We are unable to offer individual tours or host parent-teacher interviews for families prior to accepting a space in our programs. Our open house events are held annually and will be announced on our Facebook Page, by email to our waitlists.

Note: As of January 2024, we are no longer charging parents to join our waitlist. If you have previously paid to waitlist for an Alderwood or SSOCC Program, you have been asked to join this waitlist and indicate in section 10 of this form that you were previously on our paid waitlist. Please do this to ensure that you continue to receive offers for our programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have not read our Frequently Asked Questions document, please do so before you complete this waitlist form.  You can find our Frequently Asked Questions here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K8WuHHcjuv-j8i-EtnMJ-XLYyXsAPoM5n38Pzfxf1wY/edit?usp=sharing

$10 a Day Centre

Our London and North River locations are currently part of the provincial $10/day program. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee $10/day rates beyond March 2025 (London) and March 2026 (North River) which is when funding contracts are renewed. If our contract is not renewed, fees will shift to regular rates in April 2025.  Regular and $10/day rates are listed on the linked fee sheet.

Parent Handbook

Our parent handbook can be found here, and will be able to answer most of your questions about the program and policies.

Health and Wellness Policy

Guidelines here for when to stay home if your child is feeling sick, and symptoms that might warrant a parent pick-up. Alderwood has a strict illness and attendance policy. Please make sure that this proactive policy will be a fit with your work commitments prior to accepting enrollment at Alderwood.

Parent Participation

We are a parent participation daycare program, which means that all families contribute to the operational demands of the program by volunteering, including a mandatory volunteer shift once per month (3 hours). The minimum Parent Participation (3h/1 shift per month) is a non-negotiable part of our program.
