Autodesk: Fusion 360 Workshop #3 Interest Form (11/10/22)
Greetings Aspiring Autodesk Aficionados!

SME is hosting a multi-week workshop covering the intricacies of Autodesk and other essential subsidiaries! This workshop series is a collaboration between other student organizations such as IEEE, Robotics@UH, ASME-CoT and MAES.

The second session of this workshop begins on Thursday, 11/10/2022 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM in TBD. Follow this link for the campus map location!

Each workshop will provide dual attendance: in-person and virtual. Food and Drinks will be provided for the in-person attendees!

Workshop Preparation (Steps to Download)
2. Verify your Autodesk account through University Email
3. Select "View all products" under the "Products" tab
4. Select Fusion360
5. Select "Download free trial"
6. Select "Education" and then "Education Community"
7. Select "Get Started" under the Unlock Educational Access to Autodesk products page
8. Sign into account again
9. Fill in your information under Set up your Educational profile page
10. After completion, make sure you confirm your educational information by clicking "Get Started"
11. Once confirmed, proceed to download Fusion 360!

Background
Overview of Fusion 360

The above link provides a good overview of Fusion 360 which represents their platform for manufacturing design. Built on next generation architecture which allows for modern workflows and extensibility. Currently its not fully cloud based and its data storage, collaboration, and heavy processing is offloaded to the cloud. This can be installed on a PC or Mac.
