PARENTAL CONSENT FOR AN EDUCATIONAL VISIT

Chalfont St Peter Churches Visit on Monday 25th March - from 9am to 3pm approx.

As part of Year 5’s RE topic this term (Places of Worship), we shall be visiting two different churches on Monday 25th March 2024. The two churches are Gold Hill Baptist Church (The Hub) and Chalfont St Peter Parish Church – both in Chalfont St Peter.

We will leave the school site at 9am, after morning registration, and walk to Chalfont St Peter. The children will walk as a year group, before separating into Maple and Beech Classes to look around the respective churches. If the weather is fine the children will have lunch in the Millennium Wood close to the churches or if not in one of the churches before returning on foot to school.

Please ensure that your child has appropriate, comfortable footwear for the walk in both directions (walking shoes or trainers). If the weather is warm, please ensure that your child has sun cream on and a hat; if it is colder or raining, please ensure that your child has an appropriate coat to stay warm and dry. Please also ensure that your child has a packed lunch and a comfortable bag in which to carry their food and water.

In order for the trip to go ahead, we will need some parent helper volunteers. If you hold a current Bucks Council DBS and would like to volunteer to come on the trip with us, please let the School Office know by email as soon as possible.

Please can a consent form be completed and returned by Monday 11th March 2024. Use either this online form or a printed version is available from the office.
