Every spring, Cap and Gown welcomes alumni back to campus to join current Cap and Gown members, other students, and the general Stanford community for delightful conversation and great foodThe event has featured many remarkable women speakers in the past sharing their reflections, insights, and inspirations. This year, our speaker is the lovely Dr. Jordan-Bloch! This is a fantastic opportunity for women of all ages to connect and share ideas!

Speaker: Sara Jordan-Bloch

Dr. Jordan-Bloch is a sociologist and Senior Research Scholar for the Stanford VMWare Women's Leadership Innovation Lab. She is a core member of the Voice & Influence program, designed to help men and women be as effective as possible and create workplaces where all people can thrive, and leads the Seeds of Change initiative, which aims to provide young women and girls with knowledge and skills to strengthen their own voice and navigate critical transitions such as starting college or entering the workforce. 
Jordan-Bloch's research centers on the intersection of Social Psychology and Education, and her current projects include work over the perception of mattering as a mechanism in teacher-student relationships, the relational context of cohort-based learning, and how gender inequality is experienced and understood during critical transitions for young women.
