Parent Council (DGSC) - potentially getting involved
We are looking to widen parent and carer attendance at Dunbar Grammar School Council (DGSC) meetings.

The DGSC meet once a month from 7pm - 8.30pm.  Meetings dates for the year are agreed  at the start of term and the meetings are led by a parent chair.  Some school staff also attend.  This is usually Mrs Slowther, a teacher rep (Ms Williamson or Mr Martin) and one of the Deputes.  Other members of the school staff are often invited along to give a presentation. Members of the S6 student leadership team also attend.
Meeting are informal and friendly.  They can involve presentations and information sharing from the school plus an opportunity for discussion and asking questions. Parents and carers do not need to commit to attending every meeting, they can just come along to any meeting they wish - they are open to all.

It is important to stress that the DGSC are not a fundraising group and so attending the meetings does not involve any further commitment than coming along on the night!

It would be great to see some more parents attend meetings.  The purpose of this survey is to gather potential interest in attending meetings and seek views on the best format for meetings (in-person or online).  By completing the survey we can add you to the DGSC mailing list and therefore you will receive information and updates about meetings.
