SGA Officer Application
Due 8-26-22

If you are interested in running for class office, please complete this application.  If you are selected for consideration, you will receive an e-mail regarding the next steps you will need to take regarding the process.

Please be aware of the responsibilities of each grade level below:

Freshman Officers
President
Vice President
Secretary

Responsibilities:
Must select one holiday in which to serve the school.
Represent their class.
Must be held in high standing with the staff of PCSECHS.
Plan Spirit Week

Selection process:
Complete application, top applicants will then participate in an election by peers.


Sophomore Officers
President
Vice President
Secretary

Responsibilities:
Must select one holiday in which to serve the school.
Help determine prom theme for their junior prom the following year.
Must volunteer at prom to help serve food, clean tables, tear down etc…
Represent their class.
Maintain at least an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Selection process:
Complete application, top applicants will then participate in an election by peers.


Junior Officers
President
Vice President
Secretary

Responsibilities:
Must select one holiday in which to serve the school year.
Must plan to stay after school (or make time) to help decorate prom.
Represent their class.
Maintain at least an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Selection process:
Complete application, selected by Mr. Stilley
*unless multiple serious candidates, then an election will be used to determine a winner.


Senior Officers
President
Vice President
Secretary

Responsibilities:
Plan senior/super senior activities, such as senior breakfast/lunch, t-shirts, etc…
Represent their class.
(Also includes Super Seniors)
Maintain at least an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Selection process:
Complete application, selected by Mr. Stilley
*unless multiple serious candidates, then an election will be used to determine a winner.

Student Body Officers
President
Vice President
Secretary
Sgt-at-Arms  
Historian*

Responsibilities
Plan, call and execute student body meetings when necessary.
Represent the school.
Officers can be from grades 10-13.
Maintain at least an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Responsible for Principal's Day and TA week gifts

Selection process:
Will be chosen by Mr. Stilley and SGA officers

“The Historian will keep a record of all SGA activities and be responsible for taking pictures or otherwise documenting all SGA events for yearbook and social media. The Historian will also prepare monthly reports for the President and Advisor that indicate the proceedings of the council for the previous month. These records will be kept as a record of activity for the use of future meetings.”
