1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Afternoon Presentation (the subject of this application)

Human resource departments are essential in helping organizations make the shift to being trauma informed as seamless and normative as possible.  Developing trauma informed policies and procedures for both the hiring process as well as for employee retention and satisfaction requires intentionality.  Again, using the SAHMSA model, this workshop will take human resource professionals, managers and supervisors through an evaluation of their organization’s policies and procedures that have the most impact on candidate and employee well-being. The goal of this workshop will be to introduce new ways of thinking about traditional approaches to managing the new hire experience as well as employee performance and well-being.  Participants are encouraged to bring their organization’s employee handbooks for review.

For this workshop, MAC is requesting that participants fill out an application for participation. This is because we want to make sure we are not exceeding the capacity of the presenters. Also, we want to make sure attendees are prepared to participate.

In order to complete this application, you will need:
-information about your organization
-a list of the people from your organization who would like to participate in the workshop (up to 3 people per organization, at least one of whom must have the authority to make alterations to policies and procedures--e.g. an executive director, a board member, or a program manager)
-an understanding of your organization's goals for the workshop--specifically, what policies are you interested in modifying?

Applications are due by Monday, June 17th. MAC will review applications and notify applicants of approval within 5 business days of submission.

If you have any questions as you work on your application, please don't hesitate to reach out to Julia Tindell at julia@mnallianceoncrime.org or (612)940-8090.
