I want my CUK Chapter to be listed as supporting the Schools-based Counselling Campaign
Tyne & Wear Citizens has been one of the most active chapters on mental health, creating their own Commission on Mental Health which reported in 2018.  The Living Well report called for “mandatory provision of a counsellor for every English school” and since then Tyne & Wear Citizens have encouraged a successful pilot of such provision in their region.

Tyne and Wear Citizens are now calling on other Citizens UK chapters to participate in the campaign.  There are three things we are asking Chapters to do as part of joining the campaign:

1. Commit three local leaders to participate in the ‘How to Win a Schools-based Counselling Campaign in Your Area’ training which will be in the Citizens UK Learning Thursday slot from 16:00-17:30 on 4th November, 11th November, 18th November, and 25th November.

2. Identify three leaders from the Chapter (including one who has done CUK 3 or 6-day training) willing to be part of the Schools-based Counselling UK Action Team that will meet as part of the Citizens UK Leadership Team on the first Tuesday evening of every other month from 18:00-19:30 (additional planning meetings may take place on an optional basis);

3. Ask the Chapter Leadership Team to formally endorse the Schools-based Counselling campaign and commit to provide support for UK-wide actions where it can (e.g. contacting your MP to encourage them to participate in a debate in Parliament).

Once you have agreement from your Chapter Leadership Team and have checked with your Organiser, please complete this form and we will add you to the Schools-based Counselling Campaign map! If you have any questions contact simonduncanmason@gmail.com.

In which part of the UK is your chapter located? *
What's the name of your Chapter? *
Choose which type of organisation you are representing: *
Please give us a postcode for your Chapter (eg CF10 5HP).  If you don't have a postcode specific to your Chapter, then give us a full postcode for a community in which your Chapter is based.  We don't need a full address.  This will simply be used to put a pin in our campaign map of the UK. *
Summary of your Chapter's support to appear on the map.  Please tell us how and why your Chapter is supporting this campaign, and any organising you have done related to this issue already.  This will appear as a pop-up when you click your pin on our campaign map of the UK. *
Please give us the name of the person in your Chapter we can liaise with about this campaign.  This can be your name, your Organiser, or someone else in your chapter. *
Please give us an email address for the contact person for your chapter. *
Has the person listed as the contact person for your Chapter given consent for their name and email to be published on the campaign map? (This is not mandatory and you can still be the contact point for the campaign without publishing your name and email. But it will help other people in your area to join the campaign if you do consent to publish). *
Has the Chapter Leadership team formally agreed to support the Schools-based Counselling Campaign (see introduction above for details) including committing to support UK-wide actions where it can? *
Who are the three leaders from your Chapter willing to attend the CUK Learning Thursday sessions from 16:00-17:30 on 4th November, 11th November, 18th November, and 25th November? Please include their names and email addresses.  These will not be published. *
What are the names and email addresses of the three leaders from the Chapter (including one who has done CUK 3 or 6-day training) willing to be part of the Schools-based Counselling UK Action Team that will meet as part of the Citizens UK Leadership Team on the first Tuesday evening of every other month from 18:00-19:30 (additional planning meetings may take place on an optional basis)? These can be the same three people as will attend Learning Thursdays (see question above) or can be different. *
